Poems From Our Dance and Poetry Day!

Ms. Barbara came in and helped us to create a dances from poems. She was fun and nice. She helped us create and figure out dances. It was fun because we got to dance and have fun.

Symphony: The most fun part was making up the poems.

Emerald: The fun part for me was making up the poems and dances and having Ms. Barbara here.

Here are some poems we wrote. They were about leaves and nature. They were about the seasons and people. It felt good to express how we felt about the seasons.

Each group made up their own dance to the poems they wrote. It felt nice and happy.

Leaf Poem/Dance

Leaves breeze in the air.
Summer's over, it isn't fair.
Beautiful bright colors
fall down like no other
flying like a bird in the wind.
the pile of leaves
every year they fall again
the passage of the leaves
beautiful some people think
they are dull
***********************
Fly
Every spring the leaves and flowers blossom.
*********************************

The leaves are blowing
the leaves are crunchy
the leaves are landing
soft and quiet
people are crushing leaves
when it is winter the leaves
twirl off the trees
leaves leaves follow me
down the street
so fast I can't see
************************

Leaves leaves
down the
street, it blows
so fast it's hard
to see. It moves a
long. It flies so free.
Now gone my lawn is clean.
*************************
Leaves are all colors and shapes
jumping into a leaf pile
soft and kind of scratchy
when you jump in the leaves, the sound crunches
a lot of leaves fall in fall
a lot of leaves grow in spring.
****************************

This is called leaves:
Leaves move fast
leaves move slow.
****************************

The time is fall the leaves are falling. The cold day
the leaves different colors. Crinkling on the ground.
The month of October falling will leaves.(by Mya)
****************************

I hang from a tree
I change colors
I fall and become gathered into a pile
I am beautiful
I am a model of a leaf.
*****************************
The wind is blowing the leaves are blowing fast.

The leaf is landing soft and quiet. People stepping
on the leaves loud noise crushing the leaves and stepping.

The rain dropping, the leaves are wet. The rainbow
comes up find and seek a bowl of sweet at
the rainbow. (by Kelvin F.)
*****************************

When it's winter, the leaves twirl off their trees
and hit the ground. (Brianna)
